SUMAC developed strategies to minimize the heat impact at the Backus Warehouse, considering its location and climatic conditions. Architectural alternatives were proposed, including the use of vegetation, strategic building orientation, and envelope material selection, among other measures.

Additionally, a comprehensive study was conducted to reduce the thermal load inside the warehouse, optimizing the energy performance of cooling systems and improving comfort conditions for workers and merchandise storage.
