SUMAC conducted a Solid Waste Characterization Study at Plaza Vea Las Flores, with the goal of comprehensively evaluating the solid waste management at the hypermarket.
The work included field visits, sample collection, and data analysis on the weight, density, and physical composition of waste, presented through tables and graphs for ease of understanding. Based on these results, a precise overview of current waste management was obtained, serving as a basis for decision-making and the design of strategies oriented toward adequate management and final disposal. This diagnostic allows defining concrete measures and actions to improve efficiency and sustainability in waste management, promoting responsible environmental practices within the Plaza Vea operation.
