SUMAC provided comprehensive sustainability advisory for the Laboratory Blocks project at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana Cali, acting as LEED consultant, responsible for energy modeling, and fundamental and enhanced commissioning.
The project, composed of five blocks, applies for LEED for Campus v4 certification, starting with Block 1 certification under LEED for New Construction and Master Site documentation. Implemented strategies achieved 45% energy savings, 41% water savings, and a 90% reduction in embodied energy in materials, establishing a model of efficient and sustainable educational infrastructure.
