SUMAC provided sustainability consulting services for the Refinery Maintenance Workshop at Campana, located in Campana, Buenos Aires, Argentina, with the goal of optimizing building performance and accompanying the obtainment of EDGE Advanced certification.
The project is an existing two-story industrial building that integrates renovated workshop and office areas. The consulting included the implementation of energy, water, and materials efficiency strategies, such as efficient cooling and heating systems, efficient interior lighting, smart energy metering, rooftop solar panels, low-consumption plumbing fixtures, and building envelope material reuse. Thanks to these strategies, the project achieved average savings of 72% in energy, 23% in water, and 37% in materials, avoiding 27.16 tons of CO₂ per year and generating annual savings of 1,044.07 m³ of water, consolidating a high-standard sustainable performance for an existing industrial building.
