Solar energy has transformed the way buildings optimize their energy consumption and reduce their environmental impact. At SUMAC, we have developed and implemented photovoltaic solutions that have been key to achieving LEED certification in Latin America. Here are some of our most notable success stories.

Andreu Logistics – Mendoza, Argentina

Andreu Logistics is an industrial complex with 2 office floors and 1 warehouse floor, totaling 14,493.73 m². Designed to optimize logistics and reduce its environmental footprint, it represents a model of innovation in sustainable construction.

This logistics center achieved LEED Gold certification, reducing its energy consumption by 18.5% through the integration of solar panels. The incorporation of renewable energy allowed it to achieve the maximum score in the Optimize Energy Performance and Renewable Energy Production credits, earning a total of 21 points within the certification system.

Officia Nordelta – Buenos Aires, Argentina

With an innovative focus on energy efficiency, this office tower achieved LEED Gold certification, recording an 8.7% reduction in electricity consumption through solar energy. Thanks to this strategy, the project earned 3 points in Renewable Energy Production and 11 points in Optimize Energy Performance, establishing itself as a benchmark in sustainable construction.

BBVA Backus – Lima, Peru

Located at the Backus factory, this office achieved LEED Gold certification through its innovative design with recycled containers and photovoltaic panels. With a green area of over 300 m², the project achieved high sustainability and energy efficiency standards. The incorporation of renewable energy and sustainable strategies positioned this office as the first in the BBVA Peru network to achieve this certification.

Edificio Empresarial Conquistadores – Lima, Peru

This building achieved LEED Platinum certification through the implementation of sustainable strategies, achieving a 22% reduction in energy consumption. The incorporation of solar panels and other energy efficiency measures allowed it to maximize environmental performance, positioning it as a model for sustainable architecture.
