SUMAC provided LEED consulting services for the renovations of a disused Chicago police station and its conversion into the Children’s Theater of Chicago. The services also included fundamental, enhanced commissioning and energy modeling. The project is LEED certified at the Gold level.
The building includes theater spaces, administrative offices, classrooms, conference rooms, and backstage areas. Building systems include fire detection and suppression, energy control management, daylight and lighting control, and improvements to the HVAC system.
