SUMAC provided LEED consulting services to the US Army, for the Renovations of Buildings 7416 and 7418 at Fort Carson, Colorado. The services also included Enhanced Commissioning and Energy Modeling of both buildings. The project is seeking LEED Silver certification. The buildings include company administrative and readiness modules with arms vaults, classrooms, conference rooms, team rooms, and mission planning areas. Building systems include fire detection and suppression, energy management control integrated to match the local system, unclassified and classified communications networks. Supporting facilities include all related site-work and utilities (electrical, water, gas, sanitary sewer, emergency generator and information systems distribution), lighting & daylighting controls, parking, curb and gutter, sidewalks, storm drainage, landsca-ping, and other site improvements.
