SUMAC worked with Illinois American Water Company providing full architectural and engineering consulting services for this new operations center. Located in Streator, the 12,150 square foot building includes 5 truck bays for storing and washing work trucks and new offices for field staff and management team. Consulting work included civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering.
SUMAC worked with Illinois American Water Company during scheduling to determine the number, size, and configuration of offices, conference rooms, break areas , restrooms, parking, lockers, indoor and outdoor storage, customer service, garage, shopping areas and other similar areas. replicate the spaces in their previous installation, suggest concepts of space use, furniture, energy efficiency and other sustainability concepts that will optimize the remodeled space.
In addition, SUMAC prepared the final plans and the appropriate specifications for the bidding of the work, completed all the permit applications and provided a full construction management service, including site observation, submission follow-up, and invoice approval for contractor payment
