The Sanofi office in Lima, Peru, obtained the LEED Silver certification. The building in which the office is located, Torre Prado, is also a LEED certified building with vast accessibility to basic services and public transport.
Some of the sustainability strategies implemented in the offices are water-efficient faucets and sanitary equipment, the use of 100% ecological refrigerants, and a mechanical ventilation system that is 30% more efficient than what is required by the ASHRAE 62.1 2010 standard. In addition, the space achieved 18% energy savings per year through motion sensors, efficient luminaire, the use of daylight and an energy measurement system.
In regards to the materials and resources category, 50% of the waste generated in the construction phase was recycled and the office has collection containers to segregate the waste generated.
