SUMAC provided LEED consulting services to the US Army for the renovations of buildings 7416 and 7418 in Fort Carson, Colorado. The services also include the improved start-up and energy modeling of both buildings.
The project is seeking LEED Silver certification. The buildings include administrative and preparation modules of the company with weapons vaults, classrooms, conference rooms, equipment rooms, and mission planning areas.
Construction systems include fire detection and suppression, integrated power management control to match the local system, unclassified and classified communication networks. Support facilities include all work related to the site and public services (electricity, water, gas, sanitary sewer, emergency generator and distribution of information systems), lighting and daylight controls, parking, curbs and sidewalks, sidewalks, storm drainage, landscaping, and other site improvements
