SUMAC was retained to assist the Owner of “The World’s Largest Laundromat” to determine the possibility of an expansion of their business to a new location in the City of Chicago. SUMAC worked with Ownership to review several potential locations including preparing conceptual design site plans, scheduling of the entitlement process, and construction budgeting. A preferred location was identified and analyzed for compatibility with the City of Chicago’s planning and zoning goals for the local shopping corridor and initial engineering was completed to determine the extent of utility infrastructure that would be needed for the site. Final negotiations with the landowner commenced but the land deal was never finalized.
